Review #1 for Hacienda Snack Bar
Roach Coach-like burritos. It's a good thing. I never would've thought that I could've eaten some restaurant food at Hacienda SNACK BAR if it weren't for the fact that I actually felt like eating a snack. I wasn't actually too hungry, so those were my plans until I went for a carne asada burrito that was posted on the wall-hung menu board. It's how I normally judge places anyhow.
The CA burrito very much resembled one from my (jr.) high school days of eating off the mobile cooking vans (roach coaches?). This crisp and peppery taste that kept me biting down nonstop until it was gone. The secret is the cabbage and not lettuce, people. It prevents the burrito from getting too soggy and staying manageable. Very important when eating while standing.
The service was good and the only thing overdone was the "B Pride" plastered all over each square inch of real estate. It could have been any town and this type of over zealousness for high school sports would have still made me cough up my burrito.
I'll be back, but next time I'm avoiding the Al Bundys.
 Recommends: Carne asada burrito
