Review #1 for Tropical Delights
Homemade-like sandwiches I was recommended to eat at Tropical Delights when in Brawley for lunch, so I decided to try it out the next time I was in town. When I parked, the place looked more like a salon since it isn't very well presented from the outside. When I walked in, it wasn't much of an improvement. I immediately noticed (surplus) warehouse-sized ingredient packaging stacked behind the counter, which made me wonder what was in their storage.
I went ahead and ordered a roast beef sandwich from the menu and a drink. They didn't take debit/credit cards, so I had to make a quick trip to the ATM and on return my food was practically ready. The sandwich was good, maybe not the freshest, but good. The same with the fruit I opted for. One plus about the sandwich is that they put a lot of meat in it.
Service was not too shabby.
