i was born and raised in the valley and well RAPSPADO CUCHIS IS THE BEST I HAVE NOT YET FOUND A PLACE THAT HAS THE KIND OF RASPASOD THAY THAY HAVE ... AND EVEN MORE THE CHILE ONECE .. I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO NOW AND I DRIVE TO CALEXICO 2 TIMES A MONTHS JUST FOR CUCHIS ....
Recommends: RASPADO HE ENCHILADO, FRESA CON LECHE , AND THE PEPINOS CON CHILE AND LIMON ...

Los Raspados Cuchis Suck!!!
Just because there is nothing better in Calexico or the Imperial Valley for that matter, means that we need to settle with mediocre raspados from Cuchis. Raspados Cuchis has watered down syrups and the only decent raspado is the Raspado de Chile. For good raspados try Woody's on Imperial Beach.

REALLY NOBODY BEATS RASPADOS CUCHIS!!! I ONCE WENT THERE BUT, DIDNT WANT TO AGAIN!! IT REALLY IS TERRIBLE!! DONT RECOMMEND!!

Copy cats but they try
The cocktail de elote is very good, just like the one's from the carritos in Mexicali BUT the raspados gotta go! I know they try to immitate the raspados from Cuchi's but they need to remember that the main ingredient that makes fruit raspados special and delicious is FRESH FRUIT. When I ordered the raspado de mango con chile Arcoiris used what seemed to be Dole Canned Mango chunks. It was terrible, I could taste the artificial flavor that made my throat sore. It was like drinking a jug of Sunny Delight. Other than that the place is clean, and the service is good. I say they should stick to making snacks instead of raspados. Nachos are good too!

I've never tasted the raspados, but I do recommend the coctel de elote. It's really good. The one from Cuchis is awful.
