Review #1 for Foster's Freeze
GOOD FOOD Foster's Freeze for me has some of the best old fashioned hamburgers in town. Although the prices are a little high it is well worth it for the great tasting burgers.

Review #2 for Foster's Freeze
ICE CREAM, UMM EXPENSIVE The ice cream is very good but also very expensive, i could buy a whole bucket for 3 bucks, when i just buy 1 ice cream for the same price. What i do like about foster freeze are the cute guys that work there ( los cholitos ). I really do recommend the ice cream. Bajen los precios!

Review #3 for Foster's Freeze
Food sucks, Ice Cream Rules Whatever you do, DO NOT eat food here, only lactose, like icecream or milkshakes. This place has the worst food in the whole valley, their burgers literally taste like crap. On the other hand, their icecreams are the best around. Their selection isn't that plentiful but what they got is good. As far as ambience, you can get a snack and a show if you time it right. There's a Kung-Fu dojo right next door to Foster's Freeze and sometimes you can watch them practice outside, although it's miserable in summer. I recomend you stick around for the lion dance if you have the time.
Recommends: Chocolate covered vanilla icecream cone

Review #4 for Foster's Freeze
Clinging To The Past Growing up, I remember this place used to be the supremo place to get yourself a chocolate dipped, vanilla ice-cream cone. I still remember begging my parents to take me every weekend.
When I was a little older, the Big Boss Combo was definitely the best combo you could get in the Valley. It was big, it was juicy, and even though it was a little expensive, it was well worth the price.
However, in past years, it has changed owners, and as a result has gone down in quality dramatically. The vegetables they put on the hamburgers do not taste crisp and fresh anymore, and the burger bun quality has gone down. Even the meat tastes different.
As far as the service goes, the owner only seems to hire "cholios." For whatever reason that he does so, I'm sure that has something to do with the decay of the flavor.
The last time I went, which was about a year ago, I ordered a Big Boss combo, and I ended up throwing it away. It was one of the worst hamburgers I had ever tasted in my life. The lettuce was old, the bun tasted cheap, and the meat was oddly sweet, like if they had added sugar to it.
I haven't had the ice cream in a while, but I assume it's the same.
I would recommend it to anyone who's near it and feels like eating some ice-cream. It's definitely not worth going out of your way for it anymore.
 Recommends: Chocolate Dipped Cone

Review #5 for Foster's Freeze
Best Ice Cream, Best Soda I've always been a fan of Foster's Freeze in Calexico. They have the best selection of ice cream in the Imperial Valley and their food is very good as well.
My favorite frozen item has to the chocolate dipped cone. The flavor of the ice cream is very good and eating the actual cone layered with some chocolate and melted ice cream is delicious.
Food-wise, the hamburgers are one of the best. As much as I like their Big Boss, I still prefer the simplicity of the Classic cheeseburger. The fries are very good as well, but I prefer the non-crinkled ones. Included in the combination meal is a fountain soft-drink, which must be the best in the valley with it's crushed ice and perfect taste.
The seating area is bad. They should have never removed the enclosed air conditioned room where the tables are located. Big mistake.
Recommends: Classic Combo w/ Coke and a chocolate dipped cone

Review #6 for Foster's Freeze
Great greasy food Foster's Freeze serves some of the best tasting, bad for your health food. But, unless you enjoy swatting flies through out your dining experience, I suggest you order to go.
 Recommends: Burritos or Taquitos
