Best Dog
This place should be a calexico landmark or something. They gots the best hotdogs anywhere in the valley. Their location is remeniscent (that's how you spell it?) of the good old days when people used to greet each other in the streets. Their orange drink is a classic beverage, just like coke. The prices are average, and the food is great overall.

Hot dog and a soda
If you're ever down Second Street in downtown Calexico, you've got to try out this place at least once. A small booth with the signage reading "HOT DOGS" in big bold letters, it may appear a little awkward at first.
The menu is limited, only offering two flavors of soft drinks (root beer and orange), hot dogs, root beer floats, milk shakes, ice cream and snow cones. You can notice the painted over prices which probably date back to the mid-century. Nothing fancy.
So what's so great about this place? I really don't know. Everyone's been going to it since they were kids, so it must be nostalgia. The hot dog prices are a little steep, but the drinks are reasonably priced. Just try it out.

Best chilidogs and rootbeer floats
If you're ever hungry while in downtown Calexico stop and get yourself a chilidog and rootbeer float here. The only problem is that you'll have to eat it standing up.
