Birria and menudo is alright, thubs down on tortillas
The wife and I didn't wnat to cook breakfast today, and we didn't want to drive to Mex, so we went to try the birria and menudo here. These were both good except that the menudo was a bit greasy and a bit bland flavor-wise. The birria could have used also some bay leaves and more spice. They really haev to get some fresh corn tortillas and put them in a warmer instead of giving just three of them wrapped in paper, they were stale both times I asked for some. The service was good, ambience could improve.

hola a todos
yo no recomiendo ir a este lugar pues he escuchado muy malos comentarios al respecto. De que no tienen mucha hygiene.lo he escuchado y aparte me hapasado a mi. de que termino de co,mer y me duele la panza. aparte tambien eccuche de un muchacho que se intoxico cuando pidio comida de alli. y otra muchacha que des pues quedo con un gran dolor de estomago. no lo digo por desprestigiar al lugar lo que pasa es que cuando uno come en lacalle tienes que saber que comer . no es justo que tu pagues por comer en un lugar bien y lo unicoque te ganes es una infeccion estomacal. y para que ellos ganen su dinero bien agusto. por esno fijense en donde comen. no por ahorrar se vayan a enfermar.

u sound like a very cheap people!!!! I been in rubens place a lot of times and they do have goog flavor prices and service, u just r a problematic person , u r going to come back to rubens place when u dont have a lot of money?? and is going to be pretty soon??? yes that sound really nice from you!! now I know what kind of person u r!

Good Price, Decent Food
I had never eaten at this restaurant before, but had always heard great things about it.
I had some chinese take-out from here today and I was surprised to find that it wasn't all that great. I ordered a combo which consisted of sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and bbq pork. None of it was exceptional. It was passable. The only great thing about it was the fact that the combo only cost $4.99 (plus tax).
I only plan to eat here again the next time I'm really hungry and I don't have a lot of money, which is probably some time soon.

If they only made the tortillas there
I had brunch here recently, and decided to order their chorizo and egg lunch and an horchata. The lunch was two chorizo and egg burritos, and one bean burrito. The chorizo and eggs were excellent, as were the beans. My only gripe is that the tortillas they used weren't very good; they tasted store bought, if you know what I mean. The horchata was good, too. I hear that their chinese food is very good and filling, too; I'll let you guys know when I try it.

I like this place
This place used to be inside Garcia Food, but I heard they got kicked outta there 'cus there were cockroaches. Either way, we all know that if a restaurant has cockroaches, then the food must be good, Ruben's II is no exception. They not only server typical Mexican food, but they also server Chinese food. after Golden Dragon, I would say that this place has the best chinese food around. Their combination plates rule! Their soups are excellent and they have a very wide variety of things to choose from. You can practically ask for anything and they'll probably have it. Their place is a pretty quiet joint, but it's almost always full.
Recommends: Sopa Especial or Sopa Koreana (spicy with noodles)
