There's a new bookstore opening up named "Books & Treasures" at the Imperial Valley Mall on the 11th. Does anyone know if this is a real bookstore in the sense that it has a lot of selection or is it a boutique-type shop where they sell specialty (religious) books and gifts?
The location on mall map looks pretty small, so it makes me think it's the latter. |

| It's actually been open for a while. Most of what they sell tends to be religious memorabilia and books. There's a small percentage of bestsellers, classics, biographies, etc. Not much of a bookstore if you ask me. |

Big money to be made in these niche bookstores. I guess people gotta pick up the latest edition of The Bible every few years.
I love how religion can get away with doing parodies of extremely popular and expensive marketing campaigns and brands like Got Milk? and No Fear all while turning a profit. Even the Calvin & Hobbs look-a-like kid pissing on something was "adopted" by religion. |

Elchrist's dream was so close, yet so far away.
The Valley got some Starbucks, but asking for a bookstore is liking asking for a ten-teamer to hit. |
