So you've all heard how Exxon Mobile reached historic profits of $10.7 BILLION dollars in 2005 Q4, right?

The President's take on the solution to the oil addiction, "Tonight, I announce the Advanced Energy Initiative -- a 22 percent increase in clean energy research at the Department of Energy, to push for breakthroughs in two vital areas," Bush said. "To change how we power our homes and offices, we will invest more in zero-emission, coal-fired plants; revolutionary solar and wind technologies; and clean, safe nuclear energy.

"We will increase our research in better batteries for hybrid and electric cars, and in pollution-free cars that run on hydrogen. We will also fund additional research in cutting-edge methods of producing ethanol, not just from corn but from wood chips, stalks,or switch grass."

So that means we'll have more mountains in the US with their tops removed.

So gas is over 3 bucks a gallon now. It's now beyond ridiculous.

According to a recent article by CNNMoney.com a city in the UK ranks as the most expensive gasoline at 5.64 a gallon, while a city in Venezuela ranks the lowest at 0.14 cents a gallon. Something is seriously wrong here.

Costco Gas is $0.25 to $0.30 cheaper than any other gas station in the Imperial Valley.

Is Costco taking a loss here? Because the gas stations supposedly have no control over the prices at the pump.

i do'tn think costco is losing money at all....the reason the gas is so high in Calecia is that the gas stations on main street and around the city do'nt even try and compete for customers...they jsut gauge up the prices......the world should be like costco Laughing

This doesn't add up, since the gas prices in the rest of the valley are the same.

The reason gas is so high is because people are willing to pay the fees.
