What about Discussion Boards for Dummies?

You don't leave home without it.

I thought I saw you walking out with Dummies for Dummies.

Well, it's getting pretty hard to understand your jibberish lately.

After hitting the submit button, I knew I had set myself up with that one.

Chinga tu...

I just read the Borgia Family, by Mario Puzo. It is a novel based on the life of Rodrigo Borgia, a.k.a. Pope Alexander VI, and his three children. It's a very interesting look at the struggle and strategy of this man to amass power under the Catholic Church in the 15th Century. On one of the first chapters it describes the process of the cardinal "Conclave" and how new popes are chosen. Puzo of course is famous for the "Godfather;" they marketed this novel with the subtitle:"The original crime family."

i just finished giovanni's room by james baldwin. the main character, david, is torn between his love/shame for another man and his girlfriend who is off trying to "find herself" in spain. it's set in paris and deals with heavy subject matter. this is the fourth james baldwin book i've read. i totally recommend his other book another country, though. good reads.

I'm back Jerry!

After a 4-6 years without reading a novel I decided to pull the trigger the other day. The lucky winner was El extranjero or The Stranger (The Outsider in the UK). Actually, I went for the spanish version. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.

If you want to read a book about the absurd and some existentialism this novel by Albert Camus is a must read.
