Okay. That narrows it down to about 30.

Has anyone tried an Hermosillo Hot Dog?

I doubt they make them anywhere in Mexicali, but they are from Hermosillo, Sonora. They're supposed to be like a normal Mexicali hot dog (wrapped in bacon) filled with lettuce, tomatoes, beans, mayonnaise. Some of the sides are avocado, mushrooms in chipotle sauce, cucumbers in ranch dressing, jalapeņos, salsas, dill pickles, raw and fried onions, chorizo sausage, bacon bits, nacho cheese...

My freakin' mouth is watering!

I read about them in The Saveur, of all places, and I sure would love to try one out.

Wait a second... didn't we already have this debate? Isn't this the place that elchrist and Mr. Tasty* were raving about for years, and then one day we actually tried them only to find out elchrist and Mr. Tasty are morons?

*Wow, a Mr. Tasty reference.

No, Oscarin is further down south. The best hot dogs are from A Tu Gusto with the hotdoguero with the punched out nose, which is right in front of la Uni and next to Computech. It's a walking distance from Sara's, so you can eat both on the same night.

Oscarin VPV. A Mi Gusto is #1.
