No it is a priority.. well at least i hope it is...but remember it is an ambulance... special parts need to be ordered... I dont know any details on the repair shop or what the ambulance needs.. but heck if i have to wait for a week for a part to be ordered and I drive a regular car, just imagine how long will a specialty part will take...
and well it wasnt just a little scratch.. I wouldnt be amaized if they have to fix all the front cabin of the ambulance...
| elchrist wrote: | | What repair shop? |
just drive around calexico... there arent that many repair shops...
| elchrist wrote: | | I think this is acceptable, as long as the people of Calexico don't go into a state of panic |
I dont think calexico will go in a state of panic... they never do... if they wherent... well lets say that city hall would be very different place...

| well, that is a can of worms that needs to be opened. first off we need a hospital. Second, this is calexico, our city priorities are not there for that. The county needs to step up and give Calecia more ambulance support since that. The budget for a larger ambulance fleet may not be there since we have no hospital. |

I am curious to also know about the U-Hall driver. What happened to that person and the U-Hall? Who is on the floor in that picture? Will the reckless driver have the dinero to cover that as well? |

Considering that the wreckless driver was one of the chamber of commerce guys, yes i do think he has money to cover both things... and frankly he has to...because it was his fault... But the question about the u haul guy/gal is a good one... anyone know what happened to the uhaul driver???
What I really want to know is why the infraction of failing to stop to an emergency vehicle is only a maximum of 250 dlls? I mean if thats the case then how much is the infraction of speeding??? heck if you have to pay like 800 dlls for speeding down 111 and only 250 for hitting an ambulance well do you think people care if they dont respect the emergency vehicles??? |

| The insurance company will get Calexico a rental so they can still make emergency calls in a Ford Focus. |

and what else is hidden in this booming city ... it will be interesting to see how this whole ambulance story is chased about in our paper -- or is there more than one paper now too! aye aaye aaaye ---
anyway --- the funnies prompted my response ... i had a sweet chuckle with the rental / loaner comment ... you guys are too funny ... |

So according to todays IVPress, Calexico's City council voted to buy a new ambulance with the price tag of $116,531 taken out of the Fire Dept. fund... that means that well.. they might not fix the ambulance that crashed... by the way... Its almost a month and that ambulance still hasnt been fixed.
The ambulance that was just bought, will be ready for use in six months. |
