The authorities picked up Joseph Briceno, a fugitive priest wanted on eight counts of sex crimes involving two minors, in Calexico/Mexicali.

A fugitive priest wanted on eight counts of sex crimes involving two minors has been captured in Mexico and returned to the U-S today.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced the arrest of Joseph Briceno.
He was located near the U-S-Mexico border at Calexico, California, through the joint efforts of law enforcement from Arizona, Nevada, California and Mexico.
Briceno was transferred to the custody of the U-S Marshall's Service and booked into jail in Imperial County, California.
Briceno was indicted on May 14th, 2003 on six counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of attempted sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual abuse. |

A lot of the cases we see on the media are not only Catholic priests but also priests of the Anglican Church (Church of England) which also has extended worldwide and has a big homosexual problem in the Eastern United States and Africa, also the Episcopalian Church, Lutheran Church, etc which people tend to confuse as Catholic only because the outfit they wear, the titles such as "father," "bishop," etc...
The media tends not to tell the specific church they belong to. |

Perhaps the Vatican should allow priests to marry. Judaism allows it along Hindus, Muslims, other faiths and even Mormons
The worst part about pedophiles is the cover-up of the Catholic Church. The leaders just moved the pedophiles around and they lost a lot of money in lawsuits.
What year was Father Brisino at the church in Calexico? |

Former priest to be paroled after serving 8 1/2 years for sex abuse

A former Roman Catholic priest will be released Wednesday after serving 8 1/2 years of a 10-year sentence for molesting a developmentally disabled boy, his brother said.
Prison officials confirmed that Rodrigue is due to be paroled but had no further details.
Edward Anthony Rodrigue, now 69, will live in a group home along Interstate 215 after his release from a state prison near Corcoran, said Tom Rodrigue, his brother.
Rodrigue worked in parishes in Coachella, Loma Linda, Ontario and in San Diego and Imperial counties until 1981, the last year he was assigned to work in a church. He was ordained in 1962 and was best known to parishioners as "Father Tony."
