What the hell were you doing eating hamburgers the day after new years? What happened to tamales and pozole? |

Someone explain this. Brilliant Marketing Idea, or Renovation of burgers.
I'd been watching all those Angus Beef commercials on T.V., so I really wanted to try one. I went to Carls Jr. today, went up to the cashier and asked for an Angus Beef burger.
I went to go sit down, and waited for my food. The lady brought my food, I opened the box, and was pissed to see the original Six Dollar burger. I thought, stupid cashier fu%#ed up my order! I started walking up to the cashier to tell her off, when I saw a poster of the Six Dollar burger. There was a caption on it that said. 100 percent Angus Meat.
"Wow," I thought, "They made me buy it for the first time, again." I had no idea that all the Six Dollar burgers were made with Angus meat.
I already know of one other person that was also fooled by these ads, so I know I'm not the only one.
If this was done on purpose, then Carls Jr. has some marketing geniuses.
Have they always been made with Angus meat? |

Add me to the list.
I drove up to the drive-thru and asked for the 100% Angus Beef Six Dollar Burger. When the attendant asked me which one I wanted, I chalked it up to typical incompetence and said, "the 100% Angus beef one!" in a pissed off tone, at which point she mentioned that they were all made of Angus beef, all matter-of-factly. |

I haven't seen these commercials and last time I went to Carl's, I didn't see any mention of Angus Beef on the drive-up menu.
On a side note, the Low Carb Six Dollar is a nice snack. |

Only you could make a Six Dollar Burger sound gay. |

I just saw the commercial today and I don't see what the confusion is all about. It's obviously a Six Dollar Burger, but they are now using the 100% Angus Beef angle for another marketing campaign to compete with gourmet hamburgers offered at five-star restaurants.
Personally, I don't think the SDB can compete with them. It can't even compare to some of the burgers at Burgers & Beer, nor can it touch Jim Denny's (Sacramento, CA) with a ten foot pole. |

| I heard a Carl's Jr. Six Dollar Burger commercial on the radio yesterday, and the announcer said, "Now made with 100% Angus Beef..."; so, apparently they only recently began using 100% Angus beef. |

Best on the planet?
I had a GBSDB a couple weeks ago and it just isn't the same anymore. I'm back to the Western Bacon Cheeseburger when I go eat at Carl's Jr. |
