New Years Day I woke up hungry. It was around noon and I had nothing to eat, so I decided to go out and get some fast food, as it was probably the only thing open on this day.
I decided to go to the new Carl's Jr. in Calexico and pick up a meal. I wanted to go big, so I went with their Six Dollar Burger. The problem is they just don't have one anymore, there's about six varieties.
The Original
The Western Bacon
The Guacamole Bacon
The Chili Bacon
The Bacon Cheese
The Low Carb
The Low Carb Six Dollar Burger surprised me. I hadn't seen this one before and the last time I saw a fast food restaurant offer a similar item was In-N-Out with their Protien Burger. The menu claimed it to only have 6 grams of carbohydrates.
Well, I wasn't going to order this one just yet. I went with my favorite, The Guacamole Bacon Six Dollar Burger. Probably the complete opposite of their newest one. |

I haven't tried any of Carl's Jr.'s "Six Dollar Burgers", but thanks to you guys I might just try the Guacamole Bacon Six Dollar Burger*.
*I'll add my review once I've tried it. |

Carl's Jr. was packed today, so my Six Dollar Burger review will have to wait. I went to Mexicali Tacos instead, so you can read that review. |

My review is based on the carne asada, not fish or al pastor.
For fish tacos, try out Crazy Fish Tacos. For al pastor, go to Mexico. |

You never specified what type of tacos you had, and mentioned that they sold al pastor.
No need to get about it. |

I've had the Western Bacon and Chili Bacon Six Dollar Burgers in El Centro. The Western Bacon was a little dry; not enough BBQ sauce. The Chili Bacon had very little chili in it.
The Carl's Jr. in Calexico is very generous with BBQ sauce. In fact, they put a little too much sauce in the regular Western Bacon cheeseburger. I don't think this will last very long once corporate headquarters realizes they are quickly dimishing their BBQ sauce supply. |
