if the Colts can force a shootout by scoring early, then the Broncos are in trouble. I believe that Manning will win his first playoff game this weekend.

I told you. Razz

My Super Bowl picks have got to be the Titans (if not them, the Patriots) and Packers.

Well, both the Titans and the Packers failes to get past the Divisional playoffs.

I know that I said that if it isn't the Titans in the Super Bowl, it would be the Patriots, but Peyton Manning is playing like no one else in the playoffs, so my new Super Bowl pick is Colts vs. Panthers.

So the Colts and Panthers are losing this week?

We'll see, but just for the record I'll give the reasoning behind my picks (and, yes, I know that both my picks are the visiting teams):

1 ) Colts over Patriots

Peyton Manning is on fire (8 TDs and 0 INTs in the playoffs) and the Colts have yet to punt in the playoffs. The Patriots are also on fire having won 13 straight games this season. Bill Belichick has the greatest defensive mind in the NFL. Manning can read defenses better than any other quarterback in the league. The Patriots beat the Colts 38-34 in the regular season.

People say that a great defense will always beat a great offense. Not true, but that's for another argument. The Colts will win because Manning gets his offense set up with plenty of time on the play clock for him to read the defense and change the play, if needed. Last week, there were times when Manning didn't even give the Chiefs time to set up there defense.

My prediction is that the Colts will win a close one, 31-28.

2) Panthers over Eagles

The reasoning behind this pick is pretty simple: The Eagles seem to rely on other teams' mistakes to win games, but the Panthers don't make very many mistakes and the Carolina defense is better than Philadelphia's.

Panthers in another close one, 21-14.

Yeah, but you're predicting record isn't too impressive.

Apparently, I'm not the only one that believes that both the Colts and the Panthers will win on the road.
