I came across this article from the BBC News website and thought it was quite interesting. As you can see it is dated only seven days after the WTC attacks.

Of course they had plans to take on Osama bin Laden and the Taliban prior to 9/11. UNOCAL had been planning the construction of the Turkmenistan/Pakistan/India oil pipeline, which would run right through Afghanistan, for years. |

Yes, I know. My point is how convenient it worked out for the Bush administration and his supporters. |
