Yet another reason to pass on the cheap beer and go pay a few cents more for some good beer.

Last night I drank 8 or more ice cold Newcastles and finished up 1 ice cold Guinness Extra Stout nearing midnight. I was feeling really good and had a great time while actually enjoying the flavor of my drinks and obtaining a very mellow and relaxing buzz.

After midnight I get home and go to sleep feeling good, wake up in the morning and wake up just fine. No headaches, no hangover, no grogginess.

When you drink good beer, the beer gods are with you.

I drink Miller Light and it also doesn't give me a headache, plus it has less carbs. ON saturday I went to a posada (since Calecia.com is not having one) and I drank Bud Light, and I did wake up with a hangover.

You can drink near a 12 pack and barely get a mellow buzz? Man, I thouight I could hold my liquor.

Anyway, I can agree very much with you on this. I bought some Newcastle in San Diego and saved them a whole week for the last day of the semester. The day finally came and I drank about 6 Newcastles and I was feeling pretty damn good. I woke up the next day feeling refreshed. Awesome!

I've noticed a trend for me. When I drink beer that comes out of a 20-pack or a 32 oz. bottle or higher, I do some things I regret the next day. When I drink some "good" beer, I make it home OK.

Who knows what additives/chemicals they put into Coors Light and Bud Light, but it sure can't be good for you.

You can buy Newcastle at Ocotillo Liquor in El Centro.

Every time I go there, they ran out and they get some the next week, so I have to settle for some Samuel Smith.
