I just finished playing a few matches on the all new FIFA Soccer 2004 for the PC and it is amazing. If you thought FIFA Soccer 2003 was incredible, like I did, then you'll be in awe when you play the new version for the first time. It is a completely different game, in the sense that the gameplay is more "organic" and much more lifelike.
It does take a little time to get used to, as the speed of the game is a little slower and there is no setting to increase or decrease the speed of the game, but you'll get used to it rather quickly. Since the gameplay is more realistic, it is more skillful and not as arcade-like as was the case on FIFA 2003. The graphics are very much improved.
Dissappointingly, there isn't a Mexican league included with the game yet, but there a few Mexican teams you can now select. Of those I noticed were: America, Pumas, Rayos de Monterrey, but surprisingly I didn't see Chivas nor Cruz Azul. These built-in teams are at least an improvement, a step in the right direction.
If you're a PC user, then you should be able to download, if not yet available, add-ons such as the entire Mexican league, Spanish commentary and a variety uniforms and player identities. This was the case in FIFA 2003.
I recommended this game to anyone who enjoys playing or even watching the sport of soccer/futbol. |

I've owned FIFA 2004 for almost 4 months and there is only one national team I cannot beat in World Cup mode (highest). United States of America.
I use Mexico's national team and everytime I'm about to win the match, it's usually Landon Donovan who puts in an unexpected goal. No matter how hard I've tried, I've only beat the US in penalty shots. I can easily beat Brazil, Argentina, Italy, but not USA.
FYI: This game was made in the USA. |

What I really need is a game controller. You can only do so much in a sports game with a keyboard alone. |

See, that's your problem right there.
What you need is the Atari controller man. |
