If you didn't like Newcastle I dont think you will like Guinnes. |

This is quite possibly the saddest thing I've read on Calecia.com.

Does Alpha drink Newcastle? If so, he's the coolest 6-year-old on Calecia.com. |

I don't think his parents let him drink. They only allow him to race modified stock cars. |

For some reason Japanese beers don't do it for me. None of the ones I've tried have tasted that good in my opinion.
Enjoying finer beers is like a journey in a role playing game. You can't get the better weapons and perform the cool magic tricks until you rack up your experience points. It is similar with beer. When I first dabbled in the abuse of alcohol it was mostly te locos and tequila shots that I drank in mexicali. Then I started taking baby steps with Coors Light. In fact I was weaned on Coors Light. My freshman year in college I drank mostly hard liquor but one night a friend handed me a bottle of Guinness. Now I don't know if it was the bottle or what but it was the most disgusting thing I had tasted in my life. I had to eat a handful of Reeses Pieces with every drink. Clearly I was not ready for Guinness.
I made it my personal goal that night to expand my horizons and try all kinds of different beer. I had bouts with very good beer and some very mediocre beer but I always kept my on the prize. It was only until years later that I could actually enjoy a Guinness.
Now I'm not saying that Guinness is the mother of all beers. I prefer other beers but for a few years that stout was my Apollo Creed. |

true. finding good beer is a game of hits and misses, but try asahi dark. you never know, that may be the first japanese beer you like. then again, it may not. but you never know unless you try. |

I've been sick for the last week and I haven't been able to drink beer. I went to San Diego on Friday and I had the choice of any beer my heart desired, but I had to turn it down and order an herbal tea with honey. |

I had some Asahi Dark this past weekend and it's very good tasting dark beer. |
