The worst beer I've ever tasted has to be Pabst Blue Ribbon. A few years ago, they had a sale at Vons for Pabst 24-packs at $3.99 a case, after coupon. We bought like 6 cases for a weekend. From the first beer to the last you couldn't help but cringe at every sip. Even after 10 or 12 beers, you'd think the taste would get less bad, but it never did. It is the worst beer ever! There was also a German import that came in a wine-type bottle with a cork that had a picture of a monk on the label. This one smelled like skunk, and tasted like skunk spray must taste.

My favorite beer is Castlemaine XXXX. It is Australian, but cannot be purchased in the US anymore because the US distributor went out of business. The label had a red kangaroo on it. Six packs were about $10-$11.

Of the beers that are available, I like Guiness Extra Stout, St. Pauli Dark, and Noche Buena, when it is available during the Holidays. As much as I love all these beers, my financial situation forces me to rely on Coors Light to get the job done these days.

The worst beers I've ever had are Bud Light and Tecate. Sadly enough, these are the most popular beers in their countries.

Bud Light tastes like water, not just that, but like that nasty Perrier water. Tecate, well, the best way I can describe it is, that wonderful taste you get when you swallow vomit (and everybody has tasted vomit, so don't act like you haven't.)

Now this is a serious discussion. One of the worst beers I have ever tasted has got to be a Belgian ale named Duvel. It is a very crisp, light beer but has a very stange aftertaste. Belgian beers are the greatest in the world and I would recommend any of them to anybody except this one. Chimay and Affligem Tripel are some very good Belgian beers that I have had the pleasure of finding at Beverages & More and at the Toronado pub in San Francisco from the tap.

I would have to agree that Pabst Blue-Ribbon is way up there along with Natural Light and Keystone Beer ("The canned beer with a bottled taste") as the worst tasting beers (or lack thereof). An honorable mention goes out to Steel Reserve Malt Liquor ("Brewed 30 days for extra gravity") as a disgusting libation.

You can't fail with European beers most of the time. Newcastle and Moretti Dark are some very tasty brown ales and I can't forget about the wonderful pilsners from the Czech Republic: Pilsner Urquell and Romania's Carlsberg. As far as American brews are concerned my favorites are Pyramid Heifeweizen and Gordon Biersch's Dunkles. Sierra Nevada's Porter is an excellent beer as well. Victoria and Indio are some of my favorite Mexican beers. What do other people recommend... or not?

OMFG! I blame this beer for Mexico losing at the 2002 World Cup. During each game we drank only Mexican beer and Mexico won each one, but on the night that they played the USA we hadn't purchased any beer yet and were offered this Steel Reserve crap.

Needless to say, it all went downhill for La Seleccion Mexicana and I know why.

Damn you to hell Steel Reserve! Evil or Very Mad

I believe its 211 Steel Reserve. It is only aged for 28 days for Extra gravity, which is really used to knock you on your ass. And still it is not the worst thing I have ever tasted. I do not have the actual name at this time, but loosely translated from French it is called, Beer of the Demon. I now know what evil tastes like. Stay away. I know the 12% alcohol may be calling the drunks in the audience. Trust me, you have everything to lose drinking this stuff, including yesterday's lunch and a lower intestine.

The reply posted by Watts, seems to be on the jock of EURope, all classy like. I myself truly enjoy the taste of cold COORS Light. Hot damn! just thinking about it makes me happy.
As for the worst beer ever it has to be this crap that is called Olympia Gold. The name can be applied if some one was up on mount Olympis, bottleing Zeus' piss.

Lucky beer is the best chep beer in my book. Plus the bottles have this shape that just begs for you to use them as missiles. If the Bulldogs had a hooligan following, I would join them with a case af Lucky's under my arm!

Worst Beers (not in any order)

1. Pabst Blue Ribbon
2. MGD
3. Corona
4. Lucky
5. Rolling Rock
6. Quilmes (Too dry)
7. Red Stripe
8. There's more

Great Beers

I think it all depends in your mood, but for the most part, elevate me some Guinness Extra Stout, St. pauli extra dark, NewCastle, Noce Buena, and also there's nothing like pounding a couple of cartones of Pacificos when your on the beach.

In order to uphold my longstanding tradition of bitching about everything, I will only mention beers I consider shit.

American: Budweiser (Yeah, this means you too, Bud Light. Fucking Chicali champagne.)

Mexican: Tecate (Honorable mention: Corona. That piss is brewed specifically for American tourists.)

by far corona has to be the worst mexican beer. I have a theory on corona, let me know what you guys think about it.

I believe that corona is truly marketed to american turist, as ramrod said. So americans love this shit, mainly cause they are idiots. Any how, the reason any mexican drinks they skunky as crap is in an attempt to be american. The see that americans drink this shit so the automatically assume it's better then anything they would drink. That is why i believe that any mexicans would drink corona. because for sure as hell it ain't the taste
