I admit that I proved myself wrong on some points  , but when I ask for a microbrew at a bar or restaurant, I'm expecting something I can't get just anywhere, which is what a microbrew literally is. |

I apply one of Sun Tzu's basic rules of warfare when I drink: "Know your enemy." This has allowed me to collect a dependable arsenal of palatable beers, and weed out those beers that, one day, may dare lead an insurgency against my kingdom.
One of the advantages of this approach is that it has also helped me identify a number of rogue beers that, though chaotic and self-serving in nature, may prove themselves worthy men-at-arms if my main forces are ever bested in combat. |

unfortunatly, the big macro-brews have beat down the micro-brews and skewed the definition between the two. |

I went to Applebee's for lunch on Sunday, and I'll probably never go again.
I've only been to this restaurant twice, the first time to have some beers, and the second time to actually try the food.
I disliked both occasions.
I had their Amberbock and it tastes really watered down. I don't know what they do to it.
This past weekend I ordered their "Chicken and Brocolli Fettucine." This item should be renamed to "Burnt Chicken and Flavorless Brocoli Fetuccine."
I in no way recommend it. To make matters worse, I found a shard of porcelain in my food. Porcelain? Yes, porcelain. I don't know how it got there, and I don't care. What made matters worse is that the manager took forever to go over and hear my complaint, and after he did, he just thanked me for bringing it to his attention, and that was all. No offer for a free meal or discount.

I told you that place sucked, but you keep going. I went there once and I will never go again. The chiken and brocolli Fettucine is my favorite dish at Applebee's I refused to order it the first time I went there becasue I did not want them to ruin it for me. The only Applebee's I go to is the in El Cajon that one a thousand times better.
I will try the one in El Centro when it opens.
PS: That porcelain you found in your food might have been someones crown. |
