| I'm getting the idea that a lot of you fucks don't truly understand the concept of microbrews. When a restaurant or bar offers a microbrew, it means that they make their own beer there. So, yes, if you go to a restaurant or bar for the first time, you ask if they have any microbrews, and not for a specific microbrew, because if you've never been there before, you don't know what they call their microbrews. Also, if a so-called "microbrew" sells their beer in more than one market (geographical location, not store), then they truly can't be called a microbrew. And finally, (unless someone else brings up a valid point or shows more ignorance) since all microbrews are different (just like mass marketed beers) microbrews don't cause hangovers anymore than mass marketed beers. |

That's all I read on this thread.
So they didn't have microbrews. Yeah fuckin right. You're all the microbrews fuckin masters. Bitches. That's what you are. It's like ordering wine, but not knowing what the difference between a Merlot or a Pinot is, but you want to act cool and different so you order it anyway. Bullshit. Bitches.
Microbrews are cool, but one word: hangovers.
Seriously, I hoped they had some selection, but once they didn't I was okay with ordering a Coors Light. What's the big fuckin deal you fuckin poseurs. Bitches. Bitches. Bitches.
You guys probably drink with the labels out. That way people can see what your drinking. No, I'm a real connoisseur....blah blah blah.
Bitches. |
Wanting a good beer does not mean shit. I just want something that taste good and has some real flavor. I don't know about the hang over though.
Once you acquire the taste for a good fucken beer nothing else will do, unless it's free. I so dead serious that I wont buy a domestic beer. I need something dark and full flavored. Call it what you want but I'm spoiled now.
Oh yeah by the way:

I beg to differ, you can ask any one on this board, about my drinking range. Guiness to Mickey's (had a 40 last night niggas!) It all depends on my mood. The truth be told most Micro brews suck. Of course there are the good ones that are worth the search (fat tire, Gordon birsch, etc)
I am a connoisseur of Beer. If a fucking joint doesn't have any beer then I'm pissed.
Viva La Macro brew!
Viva la Micro brew!
Viva La 40 oz.

The word microbrew does not always have it proper meaning. Have you noticed how many word are used to describe many of the same product. Like Xerox you call all copy machine Xerox even it's not a Xerox. You refer to cola as coke even it's not a coke. So when it comes to crafted beer whether it's Ale, Amber lager, Stout, or of many seasonal brews for some reason it's adopted the name microbrew even though you can by them at a super market. If want to enjoy the taste I get a crafted brew or "microbrew." I usually prefer this with a meal so that is why I was upset every Applebee's I ever been to has this type of beer, but when the in Calexico didn't I was let down. It's hard for me to settle for something else when I had planned for something else. But I do drink other shit like MGD or Steel Reserve, but I prefer other shit to that.
So anyways, don't get so fucken critical about word usage we I know that's not the proper word to use. So it doesn't make any smart by pointing it out. It makes you anal.

While this maybe true it doesn't negate what I said in my post. I never said you couldn't buy microbrews in a super market. However, if a "microbrew" starts being mass produced, then it is no longer considered a "microbrew".

I can assure you that I'm not trying to make myself out to be smarter than anyone else, I'm only pointing out that there are a lot of pretentious fucks out there that don't really know what they are talking about.

Should've read:
However, if a "microbrew" starts being mass produced and mass marketed (outside it's original geographic area), then it is no longer considered a "microbrew".*

I'm just trying to make you feel better. It's sees like you were getting a bit touchy.
I agree about a lot of people not knowing anything about beers. I've known a few who didn't know the difference between a oat stout and pale. |
