Doesn't it feel terrible to have that poison running through your veins? We used to be such a pure culture, free of disease, and now, thanks to the Europeans, our people die every day of diseases.

I think I would've felt worse if I didn't exist. My existence and yours is only possible because of the events that happened in the past. If one small thing had happened differently then we wouldn't be here today.

Are you talking about the Conquistadors who raped and murdered or the indigenous people who raped or murdered?
What you say is partly true about the absence of disease among the indigenous population. And as cool as it sounds to live in caste societies that the Mayas and Aztecs fostered I would much rather live a life that has the amenities of modern life. If it wasn't for the Europeans coming over (whether a good thing or a bad thing it was going to happen anyways) the indigenous descendants would still be running around half naked and unable to sustain a modern society which would lead to more opression and suffering.
Mexicanos, and other Latin Americans, are considered La Raza Cosmica and it is exactly this mixture that makes us so unique. Before I wax intellectual about how great it would be to be a pure blood Aztec warrior or some other type of "The White Man is the Devil" bullshit I'd come to grips with the fact that you are mestizo and that by us advancing in this American society we are helping others. |

Modern society? What do you call a modern society? A place where so many live in gluttony, while so many others starve to death every day? Do you call a modern society one where a child has to beg a rich lawyer for a quarter so that he doesn't starve to death?
As "primitive" as you may think the Aztecs and Mayans were, you cannot deny the fact that their people as a whole lived much better lives than we do today.

"Modern society" is relative term. The Aztecs and mayas used to be modern too, but your missing the point, the Aztec King was eating a fat meal and while while the other tribes he had enslaved were starving. Nothing changed except that now the people eating fat meals pretend to care about the people starving, back then they didn't even give a fuck.
Also think about our shitty modern society when your child get a shot for polio or the next time your Nana needs a fucking ambulance to get her ass to the hospital. Unless your that idiot riding around town on a burro go fuck yourself.

hey dick head, the only reason we live better then ppl in mexico is cuz of the shitty goverment system in mexico not because espanoles that happen a long as time ago and they should have been doing better by now; but like i said its the shitty goverment system cuz they do anything to better their situation not the ppl who came in a long as time ago. |
