I see Voodoo Glow Skulls are scheduled to play at the Fiestas del Sol on Wednesday, October 15, 2003.
For the sake of those that go to the Fiestas del Sol with the sole purpose of watching the band, I hope that the band doesn't cancel out the way they did years back.
Voodoo Glow Skulls were supposedly going to play in Mexicali some years back and me and a couple of buddies decided to go. We walked quite aways stopping at a few places along the way for beer, but when we got to the place where the concert was supposed to be we found out it had been cancelled...instantly zapping what little energy we still had left. |

I checked the tour dates on their Web site and they have Fiestas del Sol listed. I'm very surprised that the Chicali punks didn't get on stage and beat the crap out of the band the last time they actually came around.
BTW, what is up with the ska punk fascination in Mexicali? |

I'm not sure, but I vaguely remember that someone said that the cancelled concert was listed on the website back then, too. |
