| i'm looking to upgrade my pc's ram, but i ran into a small problem. i saw a stick of 512mb ddr, but i saw that there were some that said pc 2100, pc 3300 or something like that. what is the difference, and which would i need. revramrod has seen my pc, so he may be able to help. |

| 3300 will be faster. But if you are going to add it will be better to add the same type you have already. Then again your motherboard may not support 3300. SO if you have 2100 and you will be adding just add 2100 if you will replace I would go for the 3300. |

| 3300? You guys are referring to PC3200 (i.e. DDR400.) |

Go to http://www.crucial.com and use their Memory Selector by providing your motherboard information*. This will allow you to find out what type of memory your system supports.
* If you don't know what motherboard your computer has, RTFM. |

it's pc 2100. i know that because i bought the son of a bitch before the numbers came out. i was just wondering if it would be a bad idea to put a pc2700 or pc 3200*. maybe i should just play it safe and get 2100.
