I was browsing through the classifieds on the local paper and came across the following help wanted listing:
India's Imperial Cuisine
2 chefs w/exp. or will train, waitresses, Special Chef for East Indian Tandoori & Curry Dishes. Send resume to: P.O. Box 1686, El Centro, CA 92244.
It's great to see that someone is trying to bring in different cuisines to the Imperial Valley, which is already saturated with Mexican, American and Chinese food. From past experiences, new and "different" restaurants that have started up here have failed, only lasting a few months.
I'm curious to what restaurants and/or eateries will also open up, once the shopping mall arrives. |

The plans that were printed in the Imperial Valley Press sometime back showed an Olive Garden and a Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza. I'm sure there were others, but those were the only two I remember, right now. |

| If they open up a Chuck E. Cheese I don't think it will make it. That place is way to fucking expensive. |

That's what they said about the Calexico 10 and Dudley's, and they're still around.
I actually think a Chuck E. Cheese will do alright here. If Peter Piper can last as long as it has with it's lame game selection, Chuck E. Cheese will do okay.
P.S. Get off your high horse, Monkey! You call Jack-In-The-Box "Jack" all the time. |

| The thing is at Peter Piper Pizza a family of four can go in and grub for under twenty bucks and get a lot of fucking pizza, and unless the price is different fromt the one in Salinas (Chucky Quesos Pikzas) It's at least 20 bucks for like one large. The games are way fucking better, but I don't think the cost of the pizza will make it in the valley. |

That'd be sweet.
I also hear that they're planning on openning a Sonic's Drive-In in El Centro. |

I heard about this one as well. It's being built right now as we speak. I was wondering what that was and someone told me it was going to be a Sonic's. That'll be cool. |

Yeah, I like Sonic's. I always thought that would make a good restaurant here in the valley. |
