SACREMENTO, Calif. -- A bill that would allow undocumented immigrants to obtain drivers' licenses, an issue that has worked its way into the debate surrounding the attempt to recall Gov. Gray Davis, passed the state Assembly and Senate.

On Tuesday, Republican and Democrat Assembly members argued about whether the bill would harm or help public safety before approving it by a 44-30 vote and sending it back to the Senate for consideration of amendments.

Considering how Chicalis drive, they will never pass the test.

Bill allows illegals to get drivers' licenses = Revenue stream for California. What's the problem?

You know, on a similar note, I'm getting sick and tired of this whole "illegals are bankrupting the state" bullshit. Are people in California too stupid to realize that the real problems are government and corporate corruption? I don't know about you guys, but I'm more concerned about Wally, the Lexus-driving corporate whore's plans to steal my retirement savings than I am about whether or not Sancho, the exploited janitor is stealing toilet paper for his family.

And this crap about not wanting to allow children of illegals to attend public schools. WTF is up with that? Like these kids aren't going to grow up to be productive members of society? Who in their right minds could possibly believe that these kids are going to milk the California school system for twelve years and then bolt back to their third-world countries of origin? Everyone knows that that's the kind of crap American corporations pull.

One more thing. In the American vernacular, the words "Illegal Immigrant" and "Undocumented Immigrant" are synonymous with Mexican, so come right out and say it, rednecks.

I've heard (from Border Patrol agents that I know) that Border Patrol classifies "undocumented immigrants" under one of two headings:

1) Mexican

Or

2) OTM (Other Than Mexican)

And they also tell me that they sometimes just let OTMs go because there's a lot more paperwork to fill out for them.

Interesting. Who might these OTMs be? Russians? Southeast Asians? They couldn't possibly be Latin-American. How would a Border Patrol agent distinguish a Salvadorian from a Mexican?

Anyone know how they plan to verify any of the illegal immigrant's information.

This idea has bad written all over it.
