Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash

Reliable sources have revealed that one of the current ideas being tossed around includes a scenario where Freddy and Jason would team-up against a common enemy: Bruce Campbell as Ash from the "Evil Dead" films. As crazy as it might sound, this concept has apparently been met with a great deal of enthusiasm in the upper-echelons of New Line Cinema. (Not to mention the degrees of separation: "FvsJ" producer Sean S. Cunningham directed Campbell in last years "Terminal Invasion" for the SciFi Channel.)

As absurd or improbable as this might sound to some people, I for one would be ecstatic if this project is green-lighted.

My fanaticism (and extensive film and memorabilia collection) of the Evil Dead trilogy far surpasses fanboy status. So, truth be told, I'd be first in line to see Ash take on Mr. Bean if it meant seeing Bruce Campbell wield his sawed-off shotgun and chainsaw once again.

Screw it. I've realized we'll probably never see another film based on the Evil Dead series, especially with Bruce Campbell starring in it, so this does raise some interest for me.

Bruce Campbell vs. The Republican Party... I don't care anymore, just give us anything.

Already have, but as good as this film looks, it's just no AOD.

Bubba Ho-tep has been getting amazing reviews for over a year now, yet, the whole time, Don Coscarelli couldn't get it distributed to save his life. Go figure.

Thankfully, Vitagraph Films picked up the rights this summer and it'll be hitting (limited) theaters around September or October 2003.

Straight from the man himself: "If you believe that, I've got some ocean front property outside of Phoenix you might be interested in..."
