I ate at this restaurant, Tommy's, located on 5th and State in El Centro, and I think this place has some potential. The food isn't great or anything, but it's different than the rest of the stuff we have here. It can get a lot better with some people that know what they're doing.

I didn't really like the people that worked there, they seem to put no effort in their work. It's ok though.

The best way to descripe it is, it's a pseudo-pizza parlor.

I haven't tried this place yet, but I did hear about a couple people who walked out without eating all their meal because what they had ordered looked like vomit (if I remember correctly).

I'll possibly give it one try, but it's not a good sign when before they open up shop they have a huge banner reading "ITAILIAN FOOD COMING SOON."

One thing's for sure, the location is bad. Right across the street from where the drug dealers, crackheads, pimps, hookers and cops hang out every night.

So, other than it being different, why do you seem to believe that this place that doesn't have great food or service has potential?

5th And Main is about 3 blocks from my house and I didn't know that place was there. Is it next to the taxi place? That whole section around the Greyhound is shit hole or better yet "Crackhead Center"

It just does. It can fill a niche.
