I arrived from work, plopped myself on the couch and starting flipping channels on the TV. I wasn't really paying attention to what was on, but I ended up on ESPN or Fox Sports and a WNBA game was on. I left the game on and quickly realized how uninteresting it was, no matter how much the commentators tried to hype it up.

So I thought, "Shouldn't they lower the rim about a foot or two so these girls can dunk?"

If they did, would it help out women's basketball? The majority of basketball fans seem to want to see dunks and that is what the WNBA currently lacks (this, and talent).

I'm not all for dunks though, although it can wake up a game once in a while. In fact, I think they should change the rules and value a dunk as only 1 point, unless it consists of an ally oop. Then you'd see more shooting and passing and much less monkeying* around. While they're at it, include a four point shot somewhere near the half court line.

So what are your thoughts? Would dunking in the WNBA gain your interest?

* Yes, monkeying around. Not a racial slur. Shut up.

If the WNBA wants to gain fan interest they need to have the women play in white shirts and spray some water on them every minute or so.

Hot Chicks. Look at Tennis. If the Williams sister are playing then ratings are low. If Anna plays well people leave work early.

I see the same hand gesture, but I don't think your eating popcorn/chips/peanuts while watching Serena.
