Has anyone ever had a Pambazo?
In Mexico City, they sell them on the street and they are basically tortas con chorizo y papa. It's prepared with all the fixin's and then it is lightly toasted in the frying pan where the chorizo was cooked. The bread soaks up some of the grasa and gains a beautiful red color. They are deeeeeelicious. |

| The red is actually a powder called achote. The best Pambazos can be found in any stand in the open market at Coyoacan. There is even a metro stop at this place. The best treats there have to be the quesadillas with hutlacoche. Yum! |
