The Local Radio station suck major ass.
I hate listening to the radio every station plays the same music. and 98% of the local stations play banda music and spanish. I use to listen to the local Country station and they turned into the La Estella, fuckers.
I think I should get XM.

I agree that there are no good radio stations here in the Valley. 1300 AM was cool when it was all sports, but then the people in charge decided that market here called for another country music station. We should have at least one sport station and one talk radio station.

Just give up on music radio stations. They'll never play the music you want to hear anyway.

When I listen to the radio, I put it on talk radio. Whether it's KFI AM 640, AM 970 or even AM 690 (for sports), it's always new broadcasts and not the same played out material you hear all the time.

If I want to listen to music in my car, I put on a tape or CD. It's that simple.

I actually like 93.7 but I can't always pick it up clearly. And some times I want some punk or something besides classic rock.
Tomorrow I will look into XM radio.

i had heard that the valley was a dead zone for XM radio. something about crossing with wireless signals or something. i was thinking about checking if Sirius had the same issue.

Instead of spending your money to make Columbia House selections play out of your car stereo, buy a CD changer and burn your own CDs.

Here's a sample playlist from one of their stations:

Korn
Alone I Break

Powerman 5000
Mega! Kung Fu Radio

Disturbed
Prayer

Staind
For You

Saliva
Always

Chevelle
The Red

Limp Bizkit
Rearranged

Stone Sour
Bother

Rob Zombie
Demon Speeding

P.O.D
Youth of a Nation

Papa Roach
Time and Time Again

It looks like we have no option but to be our own deejays.

i like 820 am, nothing new really but it beats the shit out of most of what's out there.... and yeah, u could get a cd changer.... but if u r, then might as well just get an mp3 player. Regarding xm, it's just like dtv... they started off cheap but will probably up their prices soon and start with shitty programming, but hell, i guess anything is better than Q96, even if u hafta pay for it.
