On mondays in the bar "Taros," which is in mexicali in centro civico, beers are 5 pesos a mug. That's 50 cents american.
The place is kind of small, so you have to go kind of early to get a table. They do have some kind of dress code, so you can't dress like a slob to get in.  |

| El tarros se pone bien chingon los lunes, y si tienes razon spic-ole, tienes ke llegar bien tempra para agarrar meza. Los martes en la taberna esta la media a 1 dolar, aunke les recomiendo ke dejes su carro en un estacionamiento porke esta bien culera la area. Me kisieron abrir mi carro hace como un mes. Y si no trabajan o salen tempra, se recomiendo ke los viernes vayan a el Molcajetes, ya ke son viernes de 3 T's(Tarros, Tacos, y Tequila) Por 80 pesos (8 dolares), pueden pistear toda la cheve y tequila ke kieran, y tambien les dan tacos para comer. Pero es unicamente de 1 de la tarde a 8 de la noche. |

A good place for cheap bear is "Antes De." Early on the beer is really cheap. It's like a buck a pop. When you go there order Dos Equis Amber. It's probably the best Mexican beer.
They have pool tables & table tennis to keep you entertained while drinking. I'm not sure on what nights, but they have bands play there. One of the bands I saw was a bunch of old dudes, they were playing Beatles covers and other stuff like that. They did a pretty good job. It was worth seeing.
It's right off Justo Sierra. You turn left on the intersection after the Volk's Dealership. It's a few stores east of La Casa Del Patron. Check it out. |

I agree. Antes De is cheap and the beers are really cold. Everyone minds their own business, and it's a very relaxed environment. You don't need to worry that Marcos won't let you in because your shirt doesn't have a collar. |

| I have also been to Antes De. If you feel like getting drunk and not worrying about shit this is the place to go. And the time I was there LOS MALOS where playing! I couldn't ask for anything more. |
