I turned off the background programs. I don't like having them on and besides my PC boots up faster with less programs on.

I've already downloaded the lastest version on all my drivers including the mother board. What exactly do you need to know?

Windows 98 (and previous versions of it) have sub-par memory management. Regardless, this shouldn't be the problem, but it would be in your best interest to upgrade your operating system to Windows XP, considering it's based on the NT kernel.

The problem is most likely your video card. From what I remember, TNTs are crap and with only 32 MB of RAM it's hopeless if you're trying to run any of today's games. How old is this card anyway? Four, five years?

Baloney. Linux is not exactly the best consumer operating system. As a server, yes... maybe.

BTW, GTA is not available for Linux.

Linux? Bah. Linux is for fanboys. FreeBSD is where it's at.

dude, freebsd is what linux was a couple of years ago.... an unpolished os. I'm not badmouthing it or anything like that, cus free is good and better if u can improve upon it, but i'm just saying that in terms of reliabilty and availability, linux is way beyond freebsd, besides, linux and freebsd always come back to their source which is unix.... so might as well first learn unix before anything else... don't ya think? I need to play this game. I already finished all my other games and with school out and all I am bored as hell. I will be getting the new Rainbow Six game this week from a "friend" Wink

I think I wll try calling the company again maybe I do have 20 bucks to spare for some good head bashing fun.

Dude, that was the most ignorant, piece-of-shit of an arguement I've ever heard anyone make on the subject.

Leave it alone before you embarrass yourself any further.

I take that back. One of the most ignorant, piece-of-shit arguements I've heard on the subject. I've read some pretty fucking stupid things regarding this before.
