I've been watching commercials all my life and after so many years I have concluded that I have the healthiest hair and whitest teeth ever.
If you watch a hair commercial they tell you its their strongest formula ever. Better than 'leading brand". What leading Brand? I mean who still has split ends if you use Pantene every day. You don't even need to repeat anymore.
Toothpaste commercials have been stating their formula make your teeth whiter than ever. Fresher and cleaner breathe. I mean compare Colgate from 1978 to today. F you cavities.
Soap. Zest claimed their soap was better than regular soap. Well, who buys regular soap? What brand is regular soap?
Batteries. You would think that after many years of battery wars that all you needed was to buy one set that would last you a life time. The new Energizer Max commercial has some fine print that reads..."compared to regular energizer batteries"
Still the new Southwest Airlines commercials are money. |

| Hey man, just look at the 80's and see if the new and improved Pantene doesn't work better than ever before. |

I remember growing up, regular energizer batteries lasted forever, but nowadays it just doesn't cut it. Now I need the new Energizer Max Turbo Supercharged battery and oddly enough, it seems to last as long as the regular ones did a few years ago. And now, regular batteries last as long as the cheap ones used to. I don't think there are any new inventions, I just think the new ones, are the old ones in disguise, and the old ones, are just cheap versions of the themselves.
What sucks the most is that the old ones still cost the same as they did when they were the good ones, and the good ones, jesus, it's like 10 bucks for 4 batteries. I could buy a real bunny for that much. |

Same thing with the Gillette Mach 3 razor blades. First there was only the standard Mach 3 and now there's Mach 3 Turbo, The Turbo supposedly being a much superior product. I've only noticed a slight difference in results, yet I think this is just psychological.
Now of course the Turbo line is more expensive, by about a dollar or so more per cartridge of four. If this product is supposedly better, why didn't they just discontinue the standard one and just labeled the Mach 3 as "new and improved?"
I know the answer to this, but come on... motherfuckers! |

The MACH3Turbo just looks cooler, and, in this day and age, isn't that all that matters? I know it does to me. Anyone who knows me knows I'm the ultimate fashion whore. That's why I have three of them in my drawer. The original MACH3, the blue MACH3, and the slick, new MACH3Turbo (even though my heavy-duty, Injun-infused facial hair only needs shaving once a week.) |

This is why I only buy name brand batteries at 99-cent stores. |
