It seems like a lot of the residents from the other cities in the Imperial Valley dislike the city of Calexico. I just heard a few people complaining about how the traffic in Calexico is completely different in comparison to the rest and how they only visit to go to the theater. Fucking users.

The further these people live, the more they seem to dislike Calexico. I've heard people from Brawley say some really mean things about this town, for example how downtown is so chaotic and how it resembles Mexicali. These people have probably never been to Mexico. Jesus Christ, you hear Mexicans in Brawley saying "yee-haw!"

I'll agree that Calexico is different from the other cities, but in a very good way.

How do I know this? I'm currently on a reconnaissance mission for Calecia.com and living in El Centro. What does this city have to offer? Not much, but crack heads. You go downtown and you see crack heads, drug dealers, prostitutes and the cops don't do a god damn thing even though they are very well aware of their existence. I could go into more detail, but my mission isn't over yet, so I will provide everyone with a complete report once my task is over.

Stay tuned...

I think it's pretty sad that the biggest city in the Valley doesn't even have a movie theater.

Brawley talking shit about another city? Hah! That's funny, Brawley is nothing more than an American version of La Baja (in Mexicali).

You can't go anywhere in Brawley without having some crackhead trying to sell you something, or even worse, mug you.

El Centro is all right, there isn't much to do there, I personally don't like it, too many jocks and trucks with those cool stickers that say, "Got Sand?"

Westmorland, nuff said.

Heber, better than Westmorland.

Calexico, nothing to do, but no Crackheads (well there are, but they have money.) It's calm, and if you wanna do something, Mex is only a skip and a hop away.

...is that the same bat channel.

As for the rest of the Valley fuck them.

I have been in many heated discussion with people from other cities in the Valley. Of course the topic was how 'bad' Calexico was. Once this older woman went off on how irrate she had become after she went to Jack and the girl at the thank you drive-thru kept speeking to her in Spanish. She said Calexico is in the USA and they should only speak English. This lady of course was as Mexican as our friends from across the border, but now she lives in Brawley. The biggest thing in Brawley is RODEO. I told her I had no problem with Spanish being spoken at Jack. Also, I reasoned with her that it was in the best interest for Jack to hire a Spanish speaking Drive-thru girl since most customers at Jack are full blown, Spanish speaking Mexicans. It's businness.

I lived in El Centro for a year and let me tell you its got nothing on Calexico.

I think that people are just hatin' because they HAVE to come to calexico to go to mex. We don't have to go anywhere. Fuckin' losers. I dislike the rest of the valley, especially EC.

I think people hate Calexico because they know we don't have to pretend to be white.

In E.C. and especially Brawley even if your name is Refugio and your darker than Tizoc, you still refer yourself as Reggie or something like that.

Though the problem of this town is that too many kids are trying to be black. Damn you Eminen. Oh wait isn't he white.

Calexico does have a lot of traffic and it pisses me of. BUt shit El Centro has it's share of traffic as well. It sux ass the valley is growing in population but there's only two lane streets.

El Centro doesn't have a movie theater but the closest one is about 50 yards away.
Last time I went ot the movies in Calexico this lady behind got on her cell phone and started talking a loud. I'm not hating but every city had their group of asshole.

Brawley sux big ass. There's nothing there. They only reason I would ever to Brawley is to go to the Hospital The El Centro one sux and I have a recent story about the EC hospital. FUcken piece of shit hospital.

Brawley sucks. When you first go into Brawley it should say "Brawley, Home of the Cholos and Chicalones who have forgotten their roots". As far as comparing El Centro and Calexico, I can't say much. Calexico does piss me off with all the traffic during the Christmas season, but El Centro does have the white people that think they own the Imperial Valley. But back to Brawley, it sucks in every way a city could suck, period.

Last night while watching a Babe Ruth game between the Calexico Angels v El Centro Diamonbacks some thing was said that didn't surprise me at all.

"Talk in English" That was said over the PA. When Calexico pulled away late in the playoff game and in between innings the PA announcer said directly to the ruckus Caleciano crowd to basically keep it English.

What's so god damn wrong about talking in Spanish? I understand if everyone was white, but 80% of the El Centro players were at best Chicanos.
