It's this kind of mentallity that is keeping Calexico from truly moving forward. One thing that the rest of the cities have realized is that sometimes you do need to work together in order for everyone to prosper. That is why a lot of the major valley events are put on by a combination of El Centro, Brawley, Holtville, and whatever other city wants to throw its name in. Calexico keeps telling these other cities to f'off, and that's why a lot of them hate Calexico. That is why Calexico is probably the poorest city in the valley. Get your heads out of your asses and start to work with the other cities. That is how the other counties are doing it. |
for real Calexico never participates in ANY all Imperial Valley events.
They exclude themselves EC is the SHIT!!!!!
I live in EC but i'm in Calexico all the time family friends etc. I got no Hate towards CALX....just fuck Brawely n Holtville that's where the whitey's think they the shit. |

Dude, people dont hate Calexico because it mostly Mexican. That's a retarted excuse. Calexico is a border town it gets pretty crazy when you get two countries mix together in one city. People don't like the craziness of going to Calexico.
No matter what city you go to in the valley you will find Mexicans, so that is not an issue unless you have other issues.
You said "They say..." who is "they?"
I don't like going to Calexico simply because of the traffic and all the bad drivers. I don't mind the Mexican culture (it's my culture) or the fact that you have to order a jumbo jack in spanish. I just hate all the fucken traffic and the fact that you can't drive through downtown without having some one jump in front of your car.

If you wan't to order a jumbo jack in english go 2 tha jack in el centro. in Calecia it's called a "jaambo yack" so learn tha lingo, ya dig.. |

Ironically, most people who hate Calexico for that reason, are Mexicans themselves, people as dark as their frijoles, whose parents along with them used to live in Mexicali in some of the poorest colonias like "La Baja," Pueblo Nuevo, Orizaba, or Palaco, whose "abuelitas" still speak Cantinflas-style spanish and now after a decade or two of having overran the border they claim their Americanism implying that Americans are of different races and origins. And so the hate emerges. Sad, really, to see a "paisa" like that. |
