| How bout more detailed profiles. When it tells you who is logged on, you could click on the name and go to that person's profile. |

Have you looked at some of the profiles on the board? "Hanging with my homies" and "Music" as an Interest aren't very interesting. I don't see how adding more fields would encourage people to write about themselves in their profile. Besides, most everyone leaves it blank.
You don't have to mention where you work, or give out your home address, but some interesting information about you would be nice. (By the way, if you live in Calexico, put Calexico as your location, not Calecia. It's getting old.)
It's good to know that you're fulfilling your duty, Mr. Tasty. Based on your profile, I now know that you live in East Calexico and pay the bills by avoiding West Calexico scum. |

What about content?
We've been working on some new sections for the site, but we'd like to hear some of your ideas. Remember, we're looking for stuff that's specific to the Valley and it's surrounding areas; Calexico in particular.
We've been discussing bringing contributors on-board, too. People to do local entertainment reviews, exposés on local corruption and scandals, man-on-the-street stuff, how-to's, etc. So, if you're looking to become the next Michael Moore, Christopher Lowell, or Rorrito The Clown, speak up. This is your chance to help shape the future of the site and get some glory for yourself in the process (Plus, you'll get an @Calecia.com e-mail account, to boot. Chicks dig it.) Serious inquiries only*.
* You will be expected to fulfill your responsibilities as a contributor (write articles, produce media, or whatever else you commit to.) So don't waste your time (or ours) if you're not going to follow through. |
