The interview has been done, and should be up in about a week.

It's been almost a week now, so where's the video?

Finally saw the interview and I must admit I like a lot of his ideas. Gumby's got my vote.

I hope that he doesn't bolt if offered any jobs outside of the valley. I'm glad he won though.

Elections are over... I still see a lot of "vote for me" posters and signs.

Please pick up your trash.

I saw him on the local news.

He was at Buckling Park kissing Bustamante's ass this past weekend.

Anyone else get this email?

Dear friends:

As you know I have been trying to address the issue of the City of Calexico website along with providing better services to our Calexico residents by having an interactive user-friendly website. This will make government more transparent and hold us all accountable. Hopefully this will pay off and become soon a reality! See article below:

Generation X councilman
by Aaron Claverie (Imperial Valley Press)

City Councilman Frank Salazar has been working with staff to update the city's Web site.

In the near future developers will be able to log on and download building permits and residents will be able to pay their bills. There will be a page on the site devoted to interactive civics.

"Any citizen that has any grief with the city, any suggestions, can log on and submit their contact information," he said.

The e-mails will be carbon copied to the appropriate department. Salazar said council members can follow through with the problems and make sure they're corrected.

>> Staff Writer Aaron Claverie can be reached at aclaverie@ivpressonline.com or 337-3419.

I wonder if he's gonna give Calecia.com the props it deserves on that site. After all, we did get him the votes that put him over the top.
