The other day I was watching this sport on TV that just bothered me. It was a bunch of ladies in high tech suits inside an ice rink. One of them would slide along the ice surface and then release this thing that looked like a wheelbarrow tire with a handle. Then the other two would use brooms to frantically sweep the ice in front of the moving object. I have no idea what this crap is called. It really bothered me that:
1. It was televised
2. That the sport is big enough to boast a women’s league
3. The walls were emblazoned with big-name sponsors
4. There seems to be several manufacturers of this sport’s equipment
5. It was obviously a white sport
6. 99% of the seats in the arena were empty
7. IT WAS TELEVISED
I have found a new thing to love to hate. I'm off to find some apparel for this abomination. |

This "sport" is called Curling. It seems to have increased in popularity inside the US during the last Winter Olympics, but I believe it is outrageously popular in Canada.
I take it this fad is now dwindling away considering the attendance you described. Just like that silly USA olympic team winter sportswear. |

| I couldn't find any team caps or shirts. I found plenty of pins on eBay for some reason. |

| The latest made up game gaining in popularity is Slamball. This combination of basketball, football, and hockey, with trampolines is way too silly for me. It's funny to see the guys that play it take themselves so seriously. |

Is one of the teams named The Beers, by any chance? |
