Have you guys heard of this new flu-like disease?
| Netscape News wrote: | It's called the 'Mystery Flu' or the 'Killer Virus,' but in the medical profession it is Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
Declared a 'worldwide health threat' by the World Health Organization, the mysterious pneumonia dubbed SARS is confounding researchers who are trying to identify its cause, control its spread -- and save lives. |

Until recently, we thought it belonged to a member of the paramyxovirus family. This family includes measles, mumps and parainfluenza. If you personally know me, you probably have SARS. I was at the Hong Kong international airport a few months back and I probably picked this up while I took a leak in their restrooms.
I say probably because I haven't been tested for it, so if your results come out positive, please let me know ASAP.
I knew something was up when we first landed in Taipei, Taiwan and they demanded all the passangers to stay on the hygienized carpet towards the next gate. That was pretty freaky.
