i know a lot of you don't like wrestling, but a lot do or did at one point or another. i was watching wrestlemania, and i began to think of the great moments in wrestlemania and the players that took part. one of the greatest moments has to be the hulk hogan vs. andre the giant match at wrestlemania 3, and another was wrestlemania 6 when we saw champion vs champion: world champion hogan vs. intercontinental champion ultimate warrior.
what were your favorite wrestling moments? who were your favorite wrestlers of all time? come on, don't be ashamed to admit you're a fan. just post. |

Shouldn't this topic go under "Film & Television"? |

Yeah, wrestling is more entertainment than sport. I mean they do a lot of running and jumping and stuff, but they do a lot of running and jumping in Ballet, but no one considers that a sport. |

In the 80s my favorite wrestlers were "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
In the 90s they were Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, The Rock, and Goldberg.
Currently, The Rock is the only wrestler that I find entertaining, although Goldberg just made is first appearance on RAW, so he might soon make my list.
The first "Hell in the Cell" match (HBK vs. Undertaker) and the first "TLC" (Tables, Ladders, and Chairs) match (Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz vs. Edge and Christian) were two of the greatest wrestling matches I've ever seen, but the very best match has to be "Hell in the Cell II" (Undertaker vs. Mankind), where Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the cage and then through the top of the cage. |

I'll admit I was into wrestling when I was in elementary school and probably my first year of junior high. Everyone was into wrestling at this time, so you couldn't really help but to like it. We even had our own matches which were not at all scripted. I was known for not giving up no matter how hard you slapped on the figure four or boston crab (OK, maybe sometimes with the BC).
BTW, the boston crab has to be the most fucked up wrestling move to ever exist.
I think the (WWF) wrestlers from the 80s were the best. You had Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, Big John Stud, The Iron Shiek, and so on. Wrestling, or Sports Entertainment, is completely different now. Everything is about showboating and making all these exaggerated moves that don't even make sense.
Sure some of these high flying moves are alright, but nothing beats a classic "boot to the face," "flying tamale" or "the Avalanche." These were simple moves, but when they happened... you knew it was all over. Although Hulk Hogan always kicked out of all this shit. |

Nobody could beat Coco B-Ware, especially not when he fought with The Killer Bees.
I think that My favorite wrestler of all time had to be Hogan., and my favorite tag-team of all time had to be "The Rockers." I loved their long hair. |
