How can you say that you do not like it? It is a part of your culture. It is a part of who you are. Even if it is not pleasing to your eyes, you must appreciate it and indulge it. |

it has nothing to do with liking things only because it's cultural history or whatever. it's simply about personal likes and dislikes. some people like the stuff, and some don't. why is that so hard to accept? aren't you the one who's fighting for acceptance of any form? let them not like the stuff. i didn't like the movie Y Tu Mama Tambien. is that so wrong? i thought the movie sucked. others liked it. i'm okay with that. i'm comfortable enough with my heritage, that i don't feel the need to shove it down other mexicans throats. if they want to like it, they will. if they don't, they won't. that's life. i know a lot of black people that didn't like malcom x, others thought he was the coolest thing next to kool-aid. |

i never said i don't have pride in my culture. i just said it's a simple issue of likes and dislikes. apparently you don't know how to read. i also never said that i didn't like the frida movie. you made that assumption. y tu mama tambien did suck. i liked amores perros, although the bit with the actress and her stupid dog being stuck under the floorboards was really unnecessary. |
