According to tentative schedules released by the network, fan-favorite anime series Trigun premieres on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block March 31. In addition, Inuyasha returns to the block at 12:30 a.m., while Lupin the Third temporarily leaves the block.

Trigun takes place in the distant future on a deserted planet. Vash the Stampede is a gunfighter with a legend so ruthless he has a $60,000,000,000 bounty on his head. Entire towns evacuate at the rumor of his arrival. But the real Vash the Stampede, the enigmatic and conflicted lead character in Trigun, is more heroic, even though he usually acts like a complete idiot.

Here's the new tentative schedule, effective March 31:

11:00 p.m. - Futurama
11:30 p.m. - Home Movies
12:00 a.m. - Trigun
12:30 a.m. - Inuyasha
1:00 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop
1:30 a.m. - Reign: The Conqueror

Any other Trigun fans on this board?

Never heard of it, but I'll check it out. It's not like Dragonball Z, is it? I hate that shit.

Why didn't they ever make 3X3 Eyes into a TV series, dammit? Seven episodes isn't enough, and I hate Manga.

no way, this is infinity times better than dbz. it's cool to see that it's on adult swim, but that means it will get chopped up. just get the dvds, and watch them the way they're meant to be watched...in japanese.

i just hope they don't bring initial d over. i read the tokyo pop manga, and they totally fucked it up.

any hardcore ANIME fan would pick subtitles over an english dub, but this series has some good english voice work to it unlike other anime...anyways I hope trigun makes it on adult swim like cowboy bebop is doing, who knows maybe another trigun manga, series, or possible movie? hey I could dream cant I?

by the way speaking of anime movies: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/cowboybebopthemovie/index.html

Well Trigun is out with 3 episodes so far, and it looks like the cartoon network is doing a pretty good job at it, hey, even one episode was completely free of edits.
