These people obviously came up with an anagram for their group before the name.

If I remember correctly, Lucillo Padilla and Alex Perrone's son were two classic examples (while in high school) of the type of students that BASTA! is trying to deter!

A few decades ago Spirit Night unified the city. Students would show their Bulldog Pride, Padilla said.

No more. It's trips to Mexicali for drinking, dancing and debauchery and late-night unsupervised parties, he said.


Maybe if the cops wouldn't have ruined our good time, people today would still be having the same fun on this night.

I don't ever remember Spirit Night being a community-oriented affair. I always remember it as being a night of drinking and debauchery. The only difference is that we stayed in Calexico.
