You've all heard of it, you've all seen cholo's wearing the t-shirts, getting the tattoos, even playing with the action figures, yes, I'm talking about "Brown Pride."
Brown Pride? WTF is that? When was the last time you saw a chinese person with a shirt that said "Yellow Pride" that had a drawing of Confuscious?
I hate seeing these shirts, I think they're so stupid. F' Brown Pride, it's all about "me" pride. Brown people have never done anything for me. If anything they've made fun of me by calling me names like "coconut."
The day 50 "Brown People" come to my house, mow my lawn, paint my house, do the laundry, cook for me, then do the dishes, I'll have some Brown Pride. I don't believe in this Brown Unity crap. Why? Because it doesn't exist.

If anyone has wronged you it is because they do not fully understand. When someone else of you're race discriminates against you, you shouldn't get mad. You need to understand them, instead, you should teach them that what they are doing is wrong.

Mr. Doroteo...Are you a teacher? or a preacher? Either way I think this brown pride you are talking about is already here among us. It's just that most of the chicanos out there feel no reason to justify it or show thier pride because they are comfortable with themselves. Unlike black folk out there, it seems like they're mad at the world...Don't you agree Beaners?
In any case I would feel stupid wearing something that read "brown Pride"
whatever happened to the shirts with the fist saying chicano...??? whatever it read. |

Mine is more of a green. 
Brown or Chicano pride is a farce. No such thing really exists because everyone who supposedly has this kind of pride is against their own kind. There is no U to the N to the ITY with "our people."
Be proud of yourself and that's it. I can't be proud of some of the people I know. Some of them are fucking embarrassing! |

I have to agree with you. Most of the people that display "Brown Pride" act in the stereotypical "ese" manner, and I personally can't identify with that. I think it's the same as Blacks that act in a stereotypical "gangsta" manner.
I honestly believe that racial pride is becoming more and more stereotypical, instead of being a thing of culture. |

It's pointless to be proud of something you have no control over, like skin color. A person should be proud of their achievements. Even then, there are very few achievements worthy of pride.
