A couple years ago when Norelco came out with some really expensive models and with a 60 day trial period, I took the opportunity to try one out. Knowing that I most likely would return it because it wouldn't deliver satisfactory results, I made the purchase.
The packaging/manual stated that it would take about 2 weeks or so for the electric shaver to begin working at it's best. Within those first 2 weeks, my shave was OK, but definitely not worth the money spent. Around 2 weeks the machine started working very well and improving almost every other day. I was amazed.
Unfortunately at around 45 days or so, it started leaving some stubble with my shave not being very close. I was getting kind of pissed and knowing that my trial period was going to end soon, I needed to make the quick decision of returning or keeping it. I fucking took it back. |

Yeah, it'll do that. That's why you have to press that fucker against your face as hard as you can. Then it works pretty damn good. |

I just got a new Norelco Series 8 Spectra 8894 XL as a gift and this time I'm hoping it doesn't degrade in quality in a couple months, otherwise this thing is going back*.
First shave was decent and took me twice the time it normally would with a razor. Second shave was pretty quick, but I was also in a hurry to get to work. Both times haven't been nearly as close as the Mach 3 blades.
* Now you can't return it to the place of purchase. You need to mail it to Norelco postage and insurance paid. Refund takes 2 to 4 weeks. |

Well, the fun didn't last very long as I expected.
For the first 3 weeks the Norelco shaver was working great. In fact, just about every day it was performing better than the previous. I had cut out about 5 minutes from the daily shaving routine and even had the liberty to shave at work during my early break whenever I was running a little late.
Around the 30 day mark the electric shaver began to lose it's charm. It was taking me a little longer to finish my shave and there were times when I had to pass over certain parts of my face twice. I was hoping it was only a minor bump in the road.
Although today was the final straw. I would suspect that I am near the 40 to 45 day "trial" period and can only imagine that the experience is not going to get any better. This was the similar experience I had during my Norelco Series 6 purchase years ago.
It's now time to return this POS, get a refund and go back to a blade. |

I've tried Anthony Logistics For Men, and it was alright. I recently purchased Gillete Complete Skin Care Multiglide Shave Gel, and I completely believe that it works better than Anthony... A lot cheaper too. |

Oh, has anyone tried that Mach3 Power razor?
This thing sounds like the downfall of the Mach series. |

Gillette should just retaliate with a 10 blade razor. Fuck it, make it 20. |
