I really don’t understand what is the infatuation that the city council and now the county has with 2nd street in Calexico. I mean come on! More than half of the streets in Calexico are in dire need of repair… like all of rancho frontera, cole rd, all of the westside of town, etc. etc…

It is becoming ridiculously absurd that everyone is so keen on fixing 2nd street every 3 years while all the other streets have Mexicali potholes on them.

Tell me I'm the only one who thinks this is wrong.

this is very true!, Cole Rd is horrible, but if it does get fixed it wont last very long because of the trucks.

zapata is in need of some TLC but " 2nd street is more important "

so if they know that Cole rd gets ruined by trucks left and right, why dont they lay down some heavy duty asphalt like the one on hwy 98, imperial and hwy 111???

The City of Calexico doesn't approve of you throwing out good ideas to improve the quality of life for Calecianos.

Second street has got to be the most heavily trafficked street (cars, truck and pedestrian) in Calexico and maybe even the county. It's also a National Historic Route, isn't it? The attention seems perfectly justified, even if I never use that stretch of asphalt.

now that you mention it, I love how the city proudly displays the fact that city money went into redoing the facade of the old B&B and their "costumer" parking. But hey! at least it looks nice....
