It seems like you can't spot the satire on here. A couple of the last elected officials in Calexico didn't speak English, so it's pretty much standard practice now to ask if they can.
And since when is it "hating" to ask what a public official can do for their citizens? He wasn't voted in by us, so it's that much more important to ask. No one is stating he was a bad choice, just WTF is he going to try and do for us?
It doesn't matter if he's in office for 7 seconds or 7 years. |

Why so much interest in this guy.
Does anybody really pay attention to city council meetings.
I think it's great tthat he made something of himself from working in the fields to owning a business. |
