Businesses are leaving California for friendlier states that have lower insurance and taxes.
Workers Comp is expensive for heavy labor type work. Check with the State Fund in SAn Diego-Sorrento Valley area. If you have prior losses or dangerous type work, forget it. GO UNDERGROUND |

I agree check out what you're rights are, employer return to work policy, therapy appt. restrictions etc. Normally you have 120 days to get 'better' so check out what your employers policies are for returning to work before you start attending any appts. Good luck...or just go underground...BTW watch out for pendejos with cameras...could be spies for the man! |

| Hope you have a state certified workers comp lawyer. All I know is that work comp people get screwed left and right. And that it takes years for it to settle. Enjoy the ride. |

| Just talked to some people and they said the most important thing is the doctor report. What ever rating he gives you will dictate how much you get, no matter how good your attorney is. Though, he could object to that report unless it was an AME. |

the doctor aint worth shit!
at first he was real nice and as soon as i got the surgery he became a real dick!.
i tell him it hurts and he tells me its normal.
i tell him it slips in and out of the socket, and he tells me its suppossed to do that.
i tell him it pops and that my finger twiches, and he says its normal..
WTF!!! my arm didnt pop before, my finger sure as hell never twitched before.. and the pain...well...i did hurt before
i can understand it hurting months after the surgery but 1year and 3 months!! c'mon...
the dr. doesnt want to take responsibility for his fuck up..
i dont wanna say his name....
but we'll call him.....Dr. Carril. translate the last name. |

I've had my fair share of surgeries and doctors totally change after surgery. Especially, when you don't heal the right way. They are hesitant in going back in to fix it. Malpractice.
The Catch-22 is you really don't have a second opinion because most doctors won't touch you after you've had surgery. So in a sense you're stuck with your same doc.
Dr. Lane has an impressive curriculum. Board certified and a pretty good specialist. Just remember for any doctor to remain on these state approved panels for Workers Comp, they have to be insurance friendly.
Is he really your doctor? A better answer is he works for the man, after all, the man pays his bills. You're just one client, while the insurance company sends him at least 1000 per year.
You can always change your PTP. |
